knitscene

there's a new mag out from interweave knits - knitscene. thanks to the incredibly creative and talented alison from sixandahalf stitches, who took photos of the freaky skirt, along with a great pic of di's creation which looks like it's straight out of a collins st boutique - they're in the gallery.
to quickly answer a quick question - those who have been requesting patterns of the skirt - sorry, but there's no such thing. the skirt was created using freeform so, it's a case of just base your "pattern" either on a sewing pattern, or perhaps a garment/thing that you already own. create shapes using various knitting and/or crochet stitches and assemble. for a better idea of how it works, do check out debbie new or prudence mapstone.
while we planned a huge update, it's our grandfather's funeral in the country on monday - so more when we're back.
